The Mountain and Me

The Mountain and Me is a 3D model of a meditator's brainwaves constructed in the form of a mountain.

The concept of the work was developed from an excerpt of Li Po's poem that reads: 'We sit together the mountain and me, until only the mountain remains'.

The artist sat on a mountain wearing a brain-reader (EEG) and custom software mapped the brainwaves to a 3D model.

The model is developed over an hour period and is a data visualisation of the brain frequencies that were experienced during this time.
